Firsts

So catching up with what's been going on in my life, not my whole life but recently. I've been married for almost 2 years now to Tom and it has been so amazing. Two years seems like a short time but it feels like I've known him my whole life. Since we've been married a lot has happened. We started off in an apartment for a year and while we were there we got a orange and white cat named Sweetea. She loves me but is pretty much afraid of everything and everyone else but a good cat. When our year was up in the apartment we bought our first house! It was a long and stressful process but the end result was definitly worth it. We have lived in our house for almost a year now. When we bought a house I wanted a dog right away because my parents would always tell me, once you get married you can have your own dog, because they didn't want to get a dog. So in March we got a 8 week old golden retriever puppy and named her Honey. Tom wasn't the biggest fan of this choice because he grew up mostly in the country and they usually have their dogs outside where I always grew up with my dogs inside and he is more of a cat person anyways. A little after we got her we went on vacation for our one year anniversary to virgina. We had an amazing time together there just relaxing and doing whatever. A few months after that we got yet another pet :) A kitten. Tom wanted a cat that would be social and let people pet it because sweetea would just run from everything. So we got a cute little boy kitten and named him Icee.

Taking care of all the pets, a house, and a husband can be a lot of work at times but I enjoy it. Training the puppy was hard and I don't think I ever want to get a puppy again but it was a good experience. The cats are always easy to take care of because they are so independent. I love living in a house and being able to do whatever I want to it, like we recently got a fence and I love it because I can just let the dog out without having to go out with her! Tom works 12 hour shifts at his job so they days he works I don't get to see him very long but he has a good amount of days off that I get to spend with him so it balances out.

At the end of July we found out that we are pregnant!!! We were't trying to have a baby but we also were'nt not trying. We just put it into God's hands when the time was right it would happen. The first trimester was a bit rough. I had morning sickness constantly in addition to a plethera of other symptoms. I got through the first trimester though and everything went great. We heard the heart beat in the first trimester and it was so amazing. As the second trimester started I still felt sick but about week 17 I started to get over the initial symptoms and got some new ones. I would get migraines, headaches, and heartburn. I don't have headaches much anymore but now I get heartburn more often and for that I have yummy tums. At week 21 we had our first ultrasound and found out that we are having a boy!! We are very excited but still deciding about a name. I am 25 weeks pregnant and have been feeling the baby move for sometime now and I love it when he does and when Tom can feel it too. So far the pregnancy is going great and time is flying by. I can't wait to see and hold my baby :))

That's pretty much everything in a nut shell. There have been more little things that have happened but I just wrote about the big things that I could think of.
